Job description

Our Urgent Care Physician, is responsible for providing expert medical care to patients with a range of potential illnesses, injuries or disabilities. Their duties include conducting routine physical examinations on patients, referring patients to medical specialists or counseling services and prescribing patients’ medications based on their condition.

  • Respond to patients’ medical issues by starting with their history
  • Order radiology and laboratory tests and refer patients to specialists when necessary
  • Analyze reports, examinations and test results to accurately diagnose patients, as well as present treatment options
  • Discuss and explain treatments and medication thoroughly with patients, advising them of all the side effects and making sure that all allergy information is current before prescribing any medication or treatment
  • Advise patients on lifestyle and diet changes that could help improve their health or treat the health problem they have
  • Follow all departmental policies and procedures
  • Keep up-to-date with medical procedures, developments, treatments and available medication
  • Comply with federal and state HIPAA privacy laws.
  • Maintain a current CPR certification.
  • Document the patients’ visits including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action
  • Be a team player who is equally comfortable working independently. Maintain a warm, friendly attitude with excellent patient interaction skills. Maintain excellent verbal and communication skills. Be adaptable in different situations. Possess excellent client interaction skills. Be able to multi-task. Exhibit Excellent Customer Service; be patient-centric and customer service oriented
  • Arrive each day prepared to work at your appointed time. Be prepared to leave at the end of the day only after patient care is completed. Listen to others with an open mind. Be willing to sign off on PA and Nurse Practitioner notes as well as review lab results and imaging studies during down time (non-patient care periods during the clinical shift).

 

Qualified Candidates:

  • Board certified family medicine, IM/pediatrics, or emergency medicine
  • Has or willing to obtain Colorado state medical licensure
  • Comfortable managing conditions commonly seen in an urgent care setting including such procedures as simple laceration repairs and I&D of abscesses.

Therapist for employment in our outpatient setting in Pueblo, CO.  Our
facility has a varied patient population of orthopedic, sports medicine,
neuromuscular rehab, and occupational injuries.  We offer a great team
