Dr. Caughfield was raised in Abilene, Texas and received his physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) specialty training at University of Texas Health Science in San Antonio, Texas.  His specialty career in Pueblo began 18 years ago.

Dr. Caughfield was drawn to his specialty because he enjoys helping patients restore function and maintain an active lifestyle through all phases of life. He enjoys serving as the medical director for Foreign Medical Missions which takes him out of the country about three weeks a year.

Dr. Caughfield is married with three children. He enjoys spending time with family and spending time outdoors in activities like hiking, camping, and horseback riding.
